Paragus

The tiny, black flower flies of the genus Paragus are difficult to identify to species, in fact, only a single species (P. haemorrhous) is identifiable without the aid of microscopic examination of male genitalia. Two species have been recorded for Minnesota, with at least four additional species expected or likely.
